SMS Terms & Conditions

Summary: gymsense sends SMS messages for account verification and onboarding. This includes one-time verification codes for login, and welcome messages when your gym transitions to gymsense. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time.

1. What SMS Messages We Send

gymsense uses SMS messaging for account security, verification, and onboarding purposes. We send:

  • One-time verification codes - A 6-digit code sent when you log in or create an account
  • Welcome/onboarding messages - A one-time message when your gym transitions to gymsense, containing your activation code and app download link
  • Account security alerts - Notifications about suspicious activity or password changes (rare)

Message frequency: Typically 1 message per login attempt, plus a one-time welcome message during onboarding. You will not receive marketing messages.

2. How You Opt-In

You opt-in to receive SMS messages from gymsense when you:

  • Provide your phone number to your gym as part of your membership
  • Enter your phone number in the gymsense mobile app during account signup
  • Enter your phone number when logging in to your existing account
  • Update your phone number in your account settings

When your gym transitions to gymsense, we may send a one-time welcome message to the phone number on file with your gym to help you set up your account. By entering your phone number and tapping "Send Code" or similar in the app, you consent to receive verification codes via SMS.

Here are examples of the SMS messages you may receive from gymsense:

Verification Code:

Your gymsense verification code is: 123456

Login Code:

123456 is your gymsense login code. This code expires in 5 minutes.

Welcome/Onboarding Message:

Hi John! Your Gym is upgrading to the Gymsense Member app. Download: gymsense.io/yourgym/download Your code: ABC123 After downloading: verify your phone, then add a payment method for in-person payments and recurring billing. Questions? Email support@gymsense.io or ask at the front desk. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply.

4. Message & Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. gymsense does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may. Check with your carrier for details about your messaging plan.

5. How to Opt-Out

You can stop receiving SMS messages from gymsense at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any SMS message from gymsense
  • Contacting us at support@gymsense.io
  • Asking your gym to remove your phone number from their system
  • Deleting your account in the app settings

Note: If you opt out of SMS, you may not be able to log in to your gymsense account, as phone verification is our primary authentication method. Welcome messages are one-time only and will not be sent again after you opt out.
